Bereavement
Understanding that the loss of a loved one is a particularly sensitive time
in your life, please consider the Jesse Harlow House, both for quiet accommodations
for friends and family and for your Bereavement Gathering. We are open year
round. Deck and lower garden overlook downtown Plymouth and we are walking distance
to restaurants and less than two miles to Cartmell Funeral Home.
ACCOMMODATIONS
We can accommodate 8 in our bed and breakfast in two bedrooms and a two-
bedroom suite. We request that you book the entire house, offered at a 10-15%
reduced rate (depending on season) so as to insure ultimate privacy for your
family/friends.
Accommodations include a full breakfast and quiet elegant surroundings, use of back deck and lower garden which includes a bubbling Koi pond and restful furniture and flowers.
BEREAVEMENT GATHERINGS
After the funeral, it is a custom for many to gather friends and family
to celebrate the lives of their loved ones. The Jesse Harlow House can personally
cater a brunch (seasonal menus will be available online),
or arrange a caterer for lunch or dinner options. Our home is intimate and can
accommodate 20-30 people indoors for buffet or extend to 40-50 outdoors in good
weather).
MENTORING
We are pleased to be mentored by the caring staff of Cartmell
Funeral Home.
Handicap Accessibility
Our B&B is not technically handicap accessible, but we do have a first floor
bedroom that may be appropriate for those who cannot climb stairs. Guest living
room and dining room are on the first floor as well.
Service Dogs
Dogs who aid the blind, hearing impaired etc are welcome in our home and are
the only dogs who are allowed to sleep in guest rooms.
